Is Guy Pearce in Alien Prequel?

Empire is quoting an anonymous email via Chud, that says Guy Pearce was seen on the set of Ridley Scott's Alien prequel Prometheus. His involvement is by no means confirmed but he would join Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Idris Elba, Charlize Theron and Rafe Spall on the cast.
