Eva Mendes joins The Place Beyond The Pines

Blue Valentine director Derek Cianfrance will next direct The Place Beyond The Pines, about a professional motorcycle rider who also robs banks to support his family. Deadline has reported that Eva Mendes and Greta Gerwig have joined the already confirmed cast of Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper. Gosling will play the rider/ bank robber while Cooper will play the cop/ politician who showdown against each other. Mendes and Gerwig are to play their respective partners.
